Sample 1 – Created using version 2.8

This is an index that was created for a 684 pages book about African & American studies. We have created an index for this book with the following specifications:

  • We have indexed all names in the book, headers and sub-Headers, dates, and all other important terms.
  • We have reversed all indexed names, so ‘Henry Louis Aaron’ was written as ‘Aaron, Henry Louis’ in the book index.
  • We have used the “Space Saving” template to write the index, and we have used colors and fonts suitable for the book colors and design.
  • We have paginated the index pages with Arabic page numbers. Even page numbers were written at the left hand side of the page, and odd page numbers were written at the right hand side of the page, just like the normal book page numbers.
  • We have collected all dates at the bottom of the index under the ‘Dates’ section to be easily accessable for the book reader.

Sample 2 – Created using version 2.8

This is a Free book having 532 pages that we have created an index for it with the following specifications:

  • We have used the “Artistic” template to write the index.
  • We have written the index terms and their page numbers as links, each link refers to its corresponding page in the book when clicking it.
  • We have defined a couple of Header terms, Sub-Header terms, and Sub-Sub-Header terms. Each child term is written indented under its parent in the index. We have set the Header terms in bold to be obvious.
  • We have defined many cross references so we can guide the reader to other terms he might be interested in inside the book.
  • We have set the font styling of some terms to appear in italic.
  • We have ordered the program to write all index terms and their page numbers as links referring to their corresponding page numbers in the book.
  • We have set the index page dimensions to be exactly similar to the book page dimensions: 8.26 * 11.69.
  • We have ordered the program to insert an empty page before the book index for better readability.
  • We have written the index before the last cover page of the book.
  • We have paginated the book index to write the page numbers of the index pages at the bottom center of each page.

Sample 3 – Created using version 2.8

This is a an index generated for a book with the following specifications:

  • We have used the “Classic 3” template to write the index.
  • We have reversed all indexed names, so ‘Robin Hood’ was written as ‘Hood, Robin’ in the book index.
  • We have defined a couple of header & sub-header terms.
  • We have set the the number of columns per each page to 1 Column.
  • We have set the background color of the index pages to light yellow.
  • We have used fonts similar to the ones used in the book for writing the index terms and their page numbers.
  • We have paginated the book index to write the pages numbers of the index pages at the bottom left/right of each page.

Sample 4 – Created using version 2.8

This is a an index generated for a book with the following specifications:

  • We used the “Space Saving” template to write the index.
  • We have set the the number of columns per page to 3-Columns.
  • We have disabled writing the index letters (A, B, C, etc.) totally from the index.
  • We have used a font called “Freestyle Script” to write the index terms and their page numbers.
  • We have enabled the option of writing the first page number only each word was found in the book.
  • We have written all chronological events at the top of the index.
  • We paginated the book index to write the pages numbers of the index pages.

Sample 5 – Created using version 2.8

This is a French index that we have created for a huge French book (More than 1000 pages), with the following specifications:

  • We have used the ‘Business‘ template to write the index. We have modified this template colors used to be suitable for the book theme.
  • We have used a special font (Futura BT) to write the index title and the index letters to the index.
  • We have set the index letters to appear cenetered.
  • We have set the index page numbers to appear in Latin numbers, at the bottom center of each page.

This is a an index generated for a Free book with the following specifications:

  • We have used the ‘Historic‘ template to write the index. We have modified this template colors used to be suitable for the book theme.
  • The book has strange page numbers used (001, 002, 003, etc.) so we have defined those pages numbers inside the program, and they appeared with the same format in the book index.
  • We have defined a couple of header & sub-header terms.
  • We have written the index terms and their page numbers as links, each link refers to its corresponding page in the book when clicking it.

This is a text file index generated for a historical book, so the author could add the index manually to his book.

This is a an index generated for a book with the following specifications:

  • We have used the “Space Saving” template to write the index.
  • We have used 1 column of index terms per each index page.
  • We have defined a couple of header, sub-header, and sub-sub-header terms. Each child term is written indented under its parent in the index. We have set the header terms to appear in bold to be obvious.
  • We have set the page numbers to appear in red color.
  • We have set some terms to appear in italic format.
  • We have increased the margin values of the index pages to be similar to the margins of the book pages.

Sample 9 – Created using version 2.8

This is a an index generated for a Japanese language learning book with the following specifications:

  • We have indexed only the Japanese terms of the book.
  • We have used the “Stylish” template to write the index, after making some color changes to it to be suitable for the book design.
  • We have used the “Koruri font” to write all Japanese terms to the index file.
  • We have used Latin page numbers to paginate all index pages at the bottom center of all pages.

Sample 10 – Created using version 1.5

This is an Italian index created by our customer Diego Giordano. He wanted to create a special index that uses the Classic template but with some changes to it, so he generated the index using PDF Index Generator, then he designed the index using Adobe InDesign to create his final index.
